It’s spooky season! Soon, lots of witches, ghosts, zombies and of course your favourite Disney characters will be out and about celebrating our favourite spooky holiday. With just 3 days until Halloween, West Bremer Radio is here to let you in on the best Halloween haunts, lights, scares and parties to get you revved up for the big night.

Ipswich boasts a fabulous community haunted house at 525 Junction Rd Barellan Point. This year they’re going Covid-safe and switching their walkthrough for some driveby scares. A truly frightful experience, it’s fun for everyone at the Halloween Haunt Ipswich, running each evening from the 28th of October. Monsters on Mahogany, 36 Mahogany St, Ipswich, is another fabulous Halloween walkthrough available on the 30th and 31st of October that will have monsters young and old quaking in their boots. A few more haunted displays include 85 High Street, Blackstone, 8 Bloodwood Place, Redbank, and 1 Bottomley st, Brassall.

The Rare and Pretty Dolls shop in Ipswich and Limelight Cinemas Ipswich are hosting a special Halloween Screening of Tim Burtons Classic Nightmare Before Christmas with prizes for best dressed on the night.

You can also visit Riverlink Shopping Centre for the little ones to get crafty with skull sand art and spider lollipops, visit Caspar the friendly ghost or knock on a zombie’s door.

To get into the creepy mood, visit Old Ipswich Cemetery for a ghost tour! It’s a historic ghost tour, led by an eerie tour guide, the 2-hour trip boasts 13 terrifying ghost stories, as you walk among forgotten graves haunted by diggers and bush rangers and even moving statues. Spine tingling.

If those aren’t scary enough for you, try out a Seraphim Escape Room – The Executioner’s Tool Shed traps you in a literal horror movie and you’ll be fighting for your life to escape… before time runs out.

Above Deck Hobbies and Games is hosting the most ghostly party in Ipswich on Halloween night – from 6pm expect carnival games, mountains of candy and prizes for the best costumes. They’re also hosting a Magic the Gathering buy-swap-sell event in the store from 10am.

There’s also the Halloween Spooktacular happening at the Gatton Historical Village from 1pm. Visit the Ipswich Showplace Markets the morning after (November 1) 7am and join their Halloween Hunt!

If you’re more the staying in type, visit https://allevents.in/ipswich-au/halloween to see some of the virtual Halloween events being held in the lead up to the holiday – including virtual pumpkin carving sessions, cookie decorating, a magic show, makeup tutorials, spooky tours and so much more that you can enjoy from the comfort of your couch while you eat all the trick-or-treating candy.

From all of us here at West Bremer Radio, we hope you enjoy this sweet and spooky holiday!
