Festival of Horsepower

Taking place in June, the City of Ipswich’s annual Festival of Horsepower includes a number of Australia’s signature racing and motorsport events.
If you are into horse racing join in the action at the TAB Ipswich Cup at the Ipswich Turf Club, Australia’s largest regional race day. Book your ticket for the Festival of Horsepower Marquee located on the home straight!
If motorsport is more your style, there is plenty of action at Willowbank Raceway. The Gulf Western Oil Winternationals is the largest championship drag racing event held outside of North America. From the amazing flame-throwing 500 kilometres an hour Top Fuelers through to Junior Dragsters, more than 500 cars and motorcycles from all over the country are expected to be on track over four big days of racing.
Over at Queensland Raceway, 2 Days of Thunder celebrates the Big Bangers of the motorsport world, both old and new. Delivering two days of fast and hard racing action there is plenty to see and do with some of the loudest, fastest and most awe-inspiring categories thundering around the track.

Care-A-Lot Hearts @ Arttime
Pour your heart out , leave it with us to be part of the Care-A-Lot Hearts Activation.
At Queerswich, held in Nicholas st, Ipswich 10am-3pm 4th June.
They invite you to paint one of our polystyrene hearts and leave it with them. They will be hanging them all up together as a spectacular show of your love for the Queer community.
Come and see all the colourful queer of Hearts hanging in the gallery for two weeks following Queerswich.
EWE Nique Sheep Races
Amazing afternoon for lots of fun and laughter.
EWE Nique family day, once a year event.
Come and have a wine or a beer with a cheese platter and or a pork roll. Watch the sheep races and play a game or two.
Listen to the amazing voices of Allie and Sarah (Local girls). Four hours of fun and laughter.
Have a punt with play money and then enjoy the auction at the end of the afternoon.
Come share in the yearly sheep race day. A day to remember!

Queerswich 2023
Queerswich is a free family fun-day held in the heart of the Ipswich CBD that celebrates love, pride, diversity, inclusion and the LGBTQIA+ community, their friends, families and allies.
Queerswich will take place in Tulmur Place, Nicholas Street Precinct, Ipswich,
in the heart of the city’s newly redeveloped CBD, on Sunday 4 June 2023, 10am to 3pm.
Queerswich 2023 will feature:
Live entertainment from fabulous drag queens, comedians, musicians and DJ.
A showcase of LGBTQIA+ community support and service groups.
An LGBTQIA+ interest group exhibition.
“Friends of Dorothy” Art Show.
Paws for Pride Puppy Pageant.
All the Colours of the Rainbow kids’ area including diversity story time,
children’s entertainers and frolicking fun activities.
Artisan and craft markets.
Food trucks – all the food trucks!
This inaugural annual festival is expected to attract approximately
10 000 attendees from across Ipswich and South East Qld.
Ipswich is a rich and diverse city with a growing LGBTQIA+ community.
It’s time to celebrate Pride and raise queer visibility in the region.
