It’s a big week at Limelight Cinemas with everything from Bruce Springsteen to blood-curdling horror and even a Twilight marathon lighting up the big screen.
Co-hosts Lex and Sparky returned to the Limelight Cinemas Podcast this week to preview the latest movie lineup and special events heading into Halloween.
First up is Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska album. The film, starring Jeremy Strong as Springsteen’s manager, dives into the Boss’s creative process.
“It’s wild to think it was recorded in his New Jersey bedroom on a four-track recorder,” Lex said. “For music fans, this is definitely one to see.”
Anime lovers will also be treated to Chainsaw Man: The Movie, an action-packed continuation of the hit series.
“It’s a brutal, emotional ride filled with love and survival,” Lex said. “Perfect for anime fans who want big-screen energy.”
Romance and drama take the spotlight with Regretting You, based on the Colleen Hoover novel. Starring McKenna Grace, Dave Franco, and Scott Eastwood, the film explores family secrets and heartbreak.
“Our team rated it 9.6 out of 10 — it’s definitely a hit with the ladies,” Lex laughed.
For the brave, there’s Shelby Oaks, a chilling supernatural mystery about a woman searching for her missing sister — and uncovering terrifying childhood hauntings.
“You’ll find me hiding behind the seat for this one,” Lex admitted.
And with Halloween just days away, Limelight is hosting a series of spooky specials including a Scream screening, a Twilight overnight marathon, and a K-pop Demon Hunters sing-along.
Tickets and session times are available at limelightcinemas.com.au.
