Moviegoers can expect a mix of high-stakes action and chilling horror this week, with two major releases arriving at Limelight Cinemas.

Leading the lineup is Fuse, an action thriller set in London, starring Theo James and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. The film centres on the discovery of an unexploded World War II bomb beneath the city, triggering a tense race against time as authorities attempt to defuse it. At the same time, a criminal gang plans a heist, taking advantage of the chaos, creating a dual storyline packed with suspense and action.

Also hitting screens is a darker offering, The Mummy, directed by Lee Cronin, known for his work on Evil Dead Rise. This new interpretation reimagines the classic story through a horror lens, following a missing girl who reappears years later under mysterious and unsettling circumstances. The film promises a more intense and psychological take on the iconic tale.

Meanwhile, cinema staff say they have been inundated with requests from fans hoping to see The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act on the big screen. While the film has secured releases in several international markets, there is currently no confirmed Australian distributor. Limelight Cinemas says it is actively working with smaller distributors to bring the film to local audiences.

The cinema has also reported strong attendance during the school holiday period, with family-friendly titles such as The Magic Faraway Tree, Super Mario and Goat drawing large crowds.

With a steady stream of new releases on the horizon, including upcoming titles like Michael and The Devil Wears Prada, Limelight Cinemas says there will be little slowdown in the weeks ahead.
