Yesterday, on September 11, an individual was charged for purportedly intentionally igniting a police vehicle outside the Goodna Police Station.

Law enforcement officials assert that the fire was initiated in the vicinity of Church Street’s adjacent carpark at approximately 1:20 pm.

Prompt action from officers led to the speedy extinguishing of the flames, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.

A 38-year-old resident of Goodna is now facing charges of arson.

He is slated to make an appearance before the Ipswich Magistrates Court today, on September 12.
