Ipswich Little Theatre is celebrating the 67th One-Act Play Festival at The Burley Griffin Incinerator Theatre, Ipswich. An exciting weekend of performances by various theatre groups from South East Queensland and beyond.

Performances include a 10-minute section on Friday night 11 August at 6.30 pm; a youth section on Saturday 12 August at 9.30 am and 1.30pm; an open section on Saturday night 12 August at 7.30 pm and Sunday 13 August at 9.30 am and 1.30pm.

Dinner is available on Friday night and Saturday night at 6 pm; Breakfast is available on Saturday and Sunday at 7 am; Festival barbecue is on Sunday 15 August at 12 pm.

Mia is supposed to be tidying up her room and getting ready for bed, but instead gets caught up in imaginary adventures with characters from her storybooks, including: Captain Hook, Goldilocks, The Gingerbread Man, Cow, Crocodile, Bear, Snow White, a couple of Marys and an exuberant Tiger. Will Mia ever go to sleep?

For group bookings, a $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required within two weeks of booking, with the balance payable two weeks before the performance.

Our pantomimes are performed by adult actors, for an audience of playgroup, kindergarten, and school groups. Children are seated on the floor with actors performing around them. The audience are encouraged to interact during the performance, join in the singing and meet the characters following the show. Please advise us if you require access for wheelchairs. There is ample parking and our theatre is adjacent to the Queens Park Nature Reserve, playgrounds and Nerima Gardens.

Meat Loaf: The Concert is two hours of nothing but show stopping hits of the iconic singer, Meat Loaf, and the hits penned by his long-time collaborator and friend, Jim Steinman.

The concert will feature an eight-piece band fronted by lead singer, Rick Szabo, who is no stranger to taking on the role of singing the songs of one of the world’s unmatched vocalists, having performed as lead vocalist in The Australian Meat Loaf Tribute Show from 1989 to 2004.
