Limelight Cinemas is deep in blockbuster season, with moviegoers flooding through the doors as smash hit Wicked for Good continues its phenomenal run and Zootopia 2 arrives to delight families.

Speaking on the Limelight Cinemas Podcast, Lex said the excitement around Wicked for Good has reached fever pitch, with fans dressing in pink and green, returning for multiple viewings and snapping up collector cups and merchandise.

“It’s absolutely insane—the phenomenon is unreal,” she said. “People are watching the first film, then coming back for the second, or just watching Wicked for Good over and over again. It’s deeper, more emotional, and together the two films are just incredible.”

The cinema has even rolled out a yellow brick road through the foyer, adding to the immersive experience. Sessions in Gold Class and XD—including recliners and daybeds—are filling fast.

Meanwhile, Zootopia 2 hits screens this week, bringing back fan favourites Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde in a twist-filled mystery involving a reptilian newcomer who threatens to turn Zootopia upside down.

Lex, who previewed the film, said adults will enjoy it just as much as kids.
“There are some brilliant little adult jokes that will go straight over children’s heads. I was giggling the whole way through—it’s genuinely fun for everyone.”

The blockbuster wave continues, with several major releases set to hit Limelight over the coming weeks. Titles include Eternity, Nuremberg, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, André Rieu’s Christmas concert and festive classics Home Alone and Die Hard. The year’s most anticipated spectacle, Avatar: Fire and Ash, will screen in both 2D and premium 3D.

Boxing Day will bring more family favourites, including The Housemaid, Anaconda and a new SpongeBob adventure.
