Cricket Ipswich is thrilled to reveal the coaching staff for its female program for the upcoming 2024/25 season, following an extensive selection process.
Female Director of Coaching – Justin Anderson
Justin Anderson has been appointed as the Female Director of Coaching. Anderson brings extensive experience from his tenure with QLD Country, Schaffer Shield, and Darling Dingoes BPL. As one of the inaugural Hornets Female Coaches, his return is highly anticipated.
1st Grade Coach – Darren Koch
Darren Koch steps into the role of 1st Grade Coach, building on his years of experience as an assistant coach within the Hornets program. Koch has previously coached the female 2nd Grade team and the Darling Dingoes female side since the inception of the BPL.
2nd Grade Coach – Zach McAlloon
Zach McAlloon, who led the 2nd Grade team to a Premiership win last year, will continue in his role as 2nd Grade Coach. His continued involvement is expected to strengthen the team further.
Rebecca McCoombes Cup Coach – Lars DeGier
Lars DeGier will continue as the Rebecca McCoombes Cup Coach, following a successful season. His ongoing leadership is anticipated to foster further growth within the team.
Girls Taverners (Paul Pink Shield) Coach & Development Programme Officer – Trinity Doyle
Trinity Doyle has been named the Girls Taverners Coach and Development Programme Officer. A long-time player within the Hornets program, Doyle will be mentored by her father, Andrew, throughout the season.
Specialist Coach – Luke Humphries
Luke Humphries, a Level 4 accredited cricket coach, will join as a Specialist Skills Coach. Relocating to Australia to pursue his coaching passion, Humphries is expected to bring valuable expertise to the Hornets squad and contribute to the development of fellow coaches.
An online information session for players and parents will be held on Wednesday, June 12, to discuss the plans for the 2024/25 season. Interested players are encouraged to attend by emailing info@cricketipswich.org.au for details.
