As Ipswich gears up for Christmas, Division 3 Councillor Andrew Antoniolli joined West Bremer Radio to share the highlights of the festive season, the city’s transformations, and his holiday wishes for the community.

Festive Celebrations in Full Swing

From the Brassil Christmas in the Park to Tivoli Christmas Under the Stars, Ipswich has embraced the holiday spirit with a lineup of incredible local performances and community events. “The talent we have in Ipswich is amazing,” Councillor Antonelli said, praising the local performers who brought joy to thousands at these events.

St. Nicholas Precinct Shines Bright

Tonight (13th December) marks the launch of the much-anticipated St. Nicholas Precinct, lighting up Nicholas Street with dazzling displays. Councillor Antoniolli hinted at a spectacular setup: “The lights are amazing, and the atmosphere will be magical.”

The event will also reveal the winners of the City of Ipswich Christmas Lights Competition, with over $8,000 in prizes sponsored by Narellan Pools Ipswich.

Revitalised CBD Offers More Reasons to Visit

The Nicholas Street Precinct has become a festive hub, offering dining, entertainment, and retail options. Standout attractions include the newly reopened Hotel Commonwealth, the unique seafood experience at Kickin’ Inn, and the Hoyts Cinemas with its luxurious daybeds.

“This Christmas, there’s something for everyone in the CBD,” said Councillor Antonelli.
