Division 4 is bringing the festive cheer this holiday season with a packed schedule of community events and celebrations as part of the Christmas in Ipswich program.
Division 4 Councillor Jim Madden highlighted the variety of activities, starting with the beloved Brassall Christmas in the Park on Friday, November 29, at Sutton Park. “This community favourite features local performers, a live orchestra, a visit from Santa, and an incredible fireworks finale,” Cr Madden said.
For those hunting for gifts, the Marburg Christmas Carnival (December 7) and Rosewood Christmas Festival (December 13) promise market stalls and festive fun.
Cr Madden also spotlighted Pine Mountain Christmas Carols on December 1, where attendees can enjoy pizza, a raffle, and a visit from Santa arriving by fire truck. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to support the Pine Mountain Rural Fire Brigade while enjoying an evening under the stars,” he added.
Councillor David Martin emphasized Division 4’s charitable spirit with the Ulysses Club Annual Ipswich Toy Run on December 8. “This event supports the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal and Arthritis Fund while spreading holiday joy,” he said.
Families can also look forward to Christmas Under the Stars at Tivoli on December 7. Featuring stage entertainment, a bush walk, kids’ activities, and a screening of Journey to Bethlehem, the event concludes with a fireworks display.
The division will also host smaller events like the Marburg Community Carols Evening and Sunset Sips at Christmas at the Soul Nook Collective.
For citywide festivities, residents can enjoy the St Nicholas Precinct, Christmas Lights Tours, and Lighting of the City Christmas Tree on November 28.
