Division 3 is set to shine this festive season with the return of the Christmas in Ipswich program, featuring magical events for residents of all ages.

Division 3 Councillor Marnie Doyle highlighted the St Nicholas Precinct, a centerpiece of the city’s celebrations. “From December 13 to 22, Tulmur Place will transform into a dazzling wonderland of lights, markets, and entertainment,” she said. The precinct’s Low Sensory Night on December 16 offers a quieter, sensory-friendly experience for families.

Adding to the magic, the City Christmas Tree Lighting will take place on November 28 in d’Arcy Doyle Place. “This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy live carols and kickstart the holiday season,” Cr Doyle added. Families can also explore boutique shops at the Christmas at Top of Town event, where they might spot TOTI the Elf.

Division 3 Councillor Andrew Antoniolli praised the diverse lineup of events. “Whether it’s the laughter-filled Stitch in the ‘Swich – Christmas Special at Ipswich Civic Centre on December 13 or festive shopping at the Handmade Expo Pre-Christmas Extravaganza on December 7, there’s something for everyone,” he said.

Other highlights include the Holly Jolly Twilight Event at Ipswich Showgrounds on November 30, featuring amusement rides, live entertainment, and a visit from Santa. The citywide Christmas Lights Tours on December 20 and 21 will showcase the most dazzling displays.

Division 3 stretches from Leichhardt and North Booval to Riverview and Collingwood Park, encompassing suburbs rich in community spirit.
