Focal Community Services is putting the spotlight on talent this July, with its upcoming All-Ability Talent Show now confirmed for Thursday, 24 July at the Beacon Community Centre, Brassall. The event will showcase performers from across Ipswich living with disability, giving them a stage to shine.
Speaking on West Bremer Radio’s All Ability Hour, Focal’s Senior Client Services Facilitator Elisa confirmed that expressions of interest will open this week via Focal’s Facebook page and website focal.org.au. Performers of all types—singers, dancers, comedians and more—are encouraged to register early, as performance slots are limited.
“If you’ve got a talent, we want to see it,” Elisa said. “It’s all about celebrating ability and giving people with disability an opportunity to share their skills and passions with the wider community.”
The Beacon Community Centre, which previously hosted Focal’s Christmas party, has been selected again for its welcoming atmosphere and full accessibility for both performers and the audience.
