Limelight Cinemas Ipswich has unveiled a jam-packed schedule for film lovers this week, ranging from special screenings to blockbuster comedies and even an unusual cat video festival.

Tonight, audiences can catch a special showing of The Great White Whale, a documentary chronicling the epic 1960s expedition to Heard Island—Australia’s most remote outpost—followed by a Q&A with filmmaker and adventurer Michael Dillon.

Comedy fans can look forward to Rebel Wilson’s return to the big screen in Bride Hard, opening Thursday. The action-comedy sees Wilson balancing her role as a bridesmaid and secret agent as she takes on mercenaries at a wedding.

For horror enthusiasts, Dave Franco and Alison Brie star in Together, a tense thriller about a couple whose strained relationship in the countryside turns sinister with supernatural consequences.

In one of the more unusual additions, Limelight is screening Cat Video Fest 2025—two hours of curated internet cat clips on the big screen.

Moviegoers can also enjoy Limelight’s first Crafty Classics night this Monday, featuring The Princess Diaries in Gold Class, where guests are encouraged to bring knitting, crochet, or colouring projects.

Next Wednesday, the cinema hosts its next Girls’ Night Out for the much-anticipated sequel Freakier Friday, with sparkling wine on arrival and gift bags valued at over $100.

Session times and bookings are available at limelightcinemas.com.au.
