Ipswich’s All Ability Hour welcomed Kieran, CEO of Hiya Health, to discuss the vital role his team plays in supporting people with disabilities across the region.

Hiya Health, located at 126 Blackstone Road, Silkstone, provides specialised allied healthcare services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology, and dietetics. With a state-of-the-art facility featuring ceiling hoists, medical-grade equipment, and adaptive play spaces, Hiya Health focuses on personalised care to improve clients’ functional capacity and quality of life.

“We work with clients of all ages, helping them adapt to their disabilities in unique ways to achieve their goals,” said Kieran. “Whether it’s improving mobility or enhancing independence, we strive to make a meaningful difference.”

Kieran shared a heartwarming success story about a stroke survivor who initially came for an NDIS report on car transfers. Six months later, through persistent therapy and tailored support, the client progressed from being wheelchair-bound to walking with a single-point stick. “Seeing someone regain mobility and independence is incredibly rewarding,” Kieran said.

He also highlighted recent NDIS changes requiring participants to ensure their treatments are disability-related. Higher Health assists clients by offering assessments and documentation to validate these claims.
