The 152nd Ipswich Show has wrapped up with resounding success, attracting more than 31,000 visitors over three action-packed days.

Show Society President Darren Zanow said he was “tired but elated” after delivering one of the biggest and most diverse shows in recent memory. “We had over 400 volunteers and dozens of staff who worked all year to bring this together,” he said. “They’ve served their city well.”

Held from Friday to Sunday, the show overcame a rainy opening night to deliver a weekend full of sunshine, entertainment, and family fun. More than 262 exhibitors participated, with new show rides and over 100 free activities on offer once inside the gates.

From bison stampedes and jetpack stunt shows to petting zoos and vintage machinery, this year’s show catered to all ages. “People want to get close to animals, touch them, and enjoy that experience—and we delivered,” said Mr Zanow. “Every year we make the show better and different.”

Despite the Friday night weather, organisers pushed forward, rescheduling fireworks and adjusting programs on the fly. “Someone was definitely looking down on us,” Zanow added.

Affordable ticket prices remained a priority, with families treated to strawberry sundaes, Dagwood dogs, and fairy floss—classic show fare that remains as popular as ever.

Planning for the 2025 Ipswich Show has already begun, with Zanow confirming an exotic animal exhibit in partnership with a South East Queensland zoo. “We’re always thinking ahead. Next year will be wild—literally.”

Zanow also thanked West Bremer Radio and the Ipswich community for their ongoing support. “This show is about community, and we couldn’t do it without you.”

The Ipswich Show continues to cement its place as one of Queensland’s most iconic regional events.
