A much loved local event will return to Ipswich in 2023 – Kitsch in the Swich will celebrate its first outing at its brand-new home at the Ipswich Showgrounds.
The event, which ran in the former Ipswich City Square space between 2013 and 2019, is a celebration of all things kitsch, retro, vintage, midcentury and Rockabilly. Kitsch in the Swich was known for its Pinup Parades, Prom Pageant, music by legendary DJ Swing-A-Billy-Ray, and the fabulous Miss Chrissy from the LIndy Charm School, and it’s all going to be back this Saturday evening at the Ipswich Showgrounds.
Enjoy a fun and fabulous night of 50s fun, with rock’n’roll dancing displays, classic music, vintage and retro markets, food trucks, parades and a pageant.
Everyone can enter the pageant – just wear your best 1950s outfit and you could be in the running to be crowned the king or queen of Kitsch in 2023.
