Ipswich moviegoers are in for a treat these school holidays, with Limelight Cinemas unveiling a bumper line-up of family films, including heartwarming Australian stories and much-loved international favourites.
Robbie from Limelight Cinemas joined West Bremer Radio to preview what’s coming, starting with “A Bold, Beautiful Journey,” starring Margot Robbie. The feel-good film follows characters reflecting on defining moments in their past and marks one of Robbie’s first projects after Barbie.
Australian storytelling takes the spotlight in “Kangaroo,” a touching documentary about rehabilitating orphaned joeys. “It’s a really heartwarming film that will appeal to kids and adults alike,” Robbie said.
For younger audiences, “Dora: The Magic Mermaid Adventures” brings Dora and Boots to the big screen in a fun-filled birthday adventure, while “Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie” promises to be a school holiday smash hit with its dedicated fan base.
Also on the line-up is “Bad Guys 2,” the sequel to the hugely popular animated caper. “The first one did really well, and this one looks even better. The all-female squad will make it a lot of fun,” Robbie explained.
Families can also take advantage of special deals, with passes starting from $30 for three tickets or $40 for four. Upgrades are available for Limelight’s recliner seating and XD theatres, and children’s Gold Class tickets are on offer from just $20 for Bad Guys 2 and Gabby’s Dollhouse.
With recent refurbishments including full recliners in Gold Class and upgraded XD seating, Robbie says it’s the perfect time to visit. “You can’t beat the sound and screen quality—we’ve made it better than ever.”
