Damo from The Breakky Club welcomed Charis Mullen MP to discuss developments in the seat of Jordan. Charis Mullen highlighted a significant budget allocation of $36.3 million for improved bus infrastructure in Ipswich, including new services to Augustine Heights and Bellbird Park, and a route connecting Springfield and Ipswich via Redbank Plains.
This expansion follows community feedback from last year’s Ipswich transport and mobility study. Charis Mullen also shared news of substantial investments in local schools, including new learning spaces, playgrounds, and upgrades to existing facilities. Charis Mullen emphasized the importance of maintaining infrastructure for both new and existing schools.
Additionally, she urged seniors to register their Queensland Government Seniors card with their electricity providers by June 30 to receive significant rebates. Charis Mullen also celebrated the reopening of the Springfield Central train station car park, which now features 125 new spaces, improved lighting, and safer pathways.
Lastly, she praised the winners of the Jordan Business Awards, noting how the recognition has positively impacted their customer base. The conversation underscored the importance of supporting local businesses and ensuring the community has access to essential services.
