We chat to Kit Philip from the Ipswich Chamber Of Commerce and wrap up the 2023 Ipswich Region Business excellence awards

The Ipswich Region 2023 Business Excellence Awards showcased a dazzling array of talent and innovation on Saturday evening, as victors in 14 distinct categories were unveiled. A record-breaking audience of over 370 representatives from both the business and community sectors graced the gala affair. Attendees were treated to a lavish three-course banquet and treated to a show-stopping performance by Bassline Studios.

The overarching theme for this year’s awards was “region of opportunity.” During the submission process, businesses were invited to share the challenges and opportunities they encountered. Kit Philp, CEO of the Ipswich Region Chamber of Commerce, commented, “We received an abundance of inspiring narratives detailing how businesses have pivoted in response to the post-COVID business landscape.”

“Businesses, regardless of size or industry, grapple with staffing challenges, and the awardees showcased how they’ve revamped their recruitment strategies to attract and retain talent,” Philp added. “It was heartening to witness the fervor for bolstering Ipswich and the substantial impact that numerous local enterprises have on the community through various programs and sponsorships.”

The Ipswich Region Chamber of Commerce also extended heartfelt gratitude to the numerous sponsors whose support made the event possible.
