The Week That Was In Council is back and,in a heartwarming celebration, the 2024 Ipswich Australia Day Awards winners are announced, recognizing outstanding community members. Amanda Draheim is Ipswich Citizen of the Year, Riverview Neighbourhood Watch is Community Group of the Year, and Fay Ison receives Senior Citizen of the Year.

As school zones return on January 22nd, Council’s School Safe Parking Program also kicks in to promote safe parking practices. This term, it’s active at Redbank Plains State School and Goodna State School. Remember, a few extra minutes can ensure the safety of our kids.
