Annual Christmas charity luncheon (1100am -1500pm) CSI Club services Ipswich Join Club Services Ipswich for a two-course meal for their annual Christmas Charity Luncheon. Includes a visit from Santa, Christmas games, guest speaker, entertainment, raffles and more. All money raised on the day goes to DVAC (Domestic Violence Action Centre).

St Nicholas Precinct (till the 18th of December (18.30 to 21.30) This Christmas, the revitalised urban heart of our city will again evoke the spirit of the season with a spectacular lighting installation. The Nicholas Street Precinct will transform into an experiential atmosphere of lights, colour and magical moments. Gather your family and friends to experience live entertainment, festive food and roving entertainment. Entry is free. Come and explore the Nicholas Street Precinct during the most wonderful time of the year!

Springfield city group ‘Night of Light’ Carols (17.00 to 21.00) Robelle Domain highlight for adults and children alike and a high point of the Greater Springfield calendar. The Springfield City Group Carols at Robelle Domain will delight from the opening bars of ‘Noel’ to the grand fireworks finale. Find your place under the stars on the grass, choose some food, add in a glow stick or two, and settle in for a ‘Night of Light’. Featuring a host of local performers as well as a visit from Santa!

The Handmade Expo Market (9am to 1pm) Tulmur Place the Handmade Expo monthly markets are a favourite among the Ipswich community with over 100 stalls each month, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

FAD Ipswich – Night at the Movies 10.00amFAD Night at the Movies 2022 is the latest exciting stage show brought to you by the athletes from FAD IPSWICH. In 2022 they do it again with an entertaining production of Jazz Dance, Cheer & Hip Hop in an exhilarating journey of high energy entertainment. With a magnificent blend of cheer, dance and our talented performers, the entire family is sure to be entertained.

Sip ‘n’ dips annual mini artisan makers market day (9am to 14.00pm)Goodna Studio Sip ‘n’ Dips Annual Christmas artisan markets are a fantastic way to support local makers here in our community. Each year they reach out and find budding artists who set up shop in our studio for the day to sell their handmade goods. This year you can book Santa photos, enjoy kids or adults’ art classes, browse from local handmade goods or grab yourself a hot or cold drink, and something to eat while you soak up the atmosphere. Current business line ups include macrame, terrariums, pottery, mini stockings, bonsai and more. Support our local artists and have an incredible day filled with art and community. Come join in the fun at The Redbank Plains Community Carols and share with us the joy of singing traditional Christmas Carols, a special visit from Santa Claus and a firework spectacular finale. Make sure to check out food truck alley and the pre-event entertainment.

Redbank plaza Library Enjoy the sounds of one of Australia’s premier community choirs, the Ipswich Orpheus Chorale, as they spread the Spirit of Christmas through Ipswich Libraries. The Ipswich Orpheus Chorale was founded by George Hogg in 1969 and is made up of members from Ipswich and surrounding areas.

Kel Balnaves is a skilled MC, performer and headline comedian touring throughout Australia and is a regular guest comedian onboard P&O Cruise ships. Well… that was before… you know, Covid – but let’s not talk about that. Kel has been performing at festivals like the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne Comedy Festival for over 10 years!
