A fresh transformation is on the horizon for Booval Fair, as the popular shopping destination embarks on a major redevelopment of its Brisbane Road façade. Scheduled to begin next week, the facelift will include vibrant, open-frontage designs and the introduction of new food and casual dining spaces. Construction is set to be completed by April 2025, with measures in place to minimise disruption during the holiday shopping season.
As part of this upgrade, the much-anticipated Espresso Lane café will open in early 2024, taking over the former Coffee Club space and bringing back the café dining experience locals have been missing. Just in time for Christmas, Keep Fitness gym will also launch, adding a health and wellness focus to the centre.
Booval Fair, home to major retailers such as Big W and Woolworths, along with over 50 specialty stores, continues to strengthen its position as a key community hub.
“Our customers have missed the relaxed café dining experience since Coffee Club closed,” said Steven Bridges, Managing Director of Retail First. “With Espresso Lane and new outdoor dining opportunities, Booval Fair is poised for a fresh transformation that aligns with local needs.”
The redevelopment also opens exciting leasing opportunities for hospitality and retail vendors eager to join the new food precinct. Booval Fair will remain fully operational during the construction period to ensure minimal impact on shoppers and businesses.
“This investment reflects our confidence in Booval Fair’s growth and appeal,” added Mr. Bridges. “We’re thrilled to deliver an updated experience for the community and look forward to announcing even more enhancements soon.”
Owned by YFG Shopping Centres and managed by Retail First Pty Ltd, Booval Fair’s updates are set to solidify its reputation as a vibrant and convenient destination for Ipswich residents.
