West Bremer Radio’s All Ability Hour delivered an engaging Saturday afternoon filled with inspiring conversations and valuable insights into disability support services. Hosted by DJ Sparky and Patty from Focal Community Services, the show featured special guests Adam from Plan Partners and Amy, a passionate advocate and client of disability support programs.

Adam, representing Plan Partners, provided listeners with essential information about NDIS plan management. He explained how Plan Partners assists individuals by managing their funding, paying invoices, and ensuring compliance with NDIS guidelines. A standout feature of Plan Partners is their real-time live chat service, which connects clients directly with support staff, offering a more responsive and efficient service. Adam also highlighted their user-friendly online portal, allowing individuals to track spending, allocate funds, and monitor invoices in real time.

“We partner with our customers to ensure their funding is used correctly and efficiently,” Adam explained. “With our live chat and custom-built portal, we make it easier for people to navigate the NDIS system.”

Listeners also heard from Amy, a dedicated Focal Community Services client who shared her recent respite experience. Accompanied by her best friend Dawn, Amy spent the weekend developing life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and independent living. She recounted highlights of her stay, including attending Focal’s Friday Night Fever disco, making her bed, and preparing breakfast.

“This experience is a step toward living independently one day,” Amy shared enthusiastically. “We learned so many things, from washing clothes to cooking bacon and eggs for breakfast.”

The conversation emphasized the importance of respite care in fostering independence while providing families with much-needed support. Amy’s lively personality and growing confidence delighted listeners, as she playfully kept the hosts on their toes throughout the interview.
