Movie lovers are being spoiled for choice as Limelight Cinemas prepares for a packed blockbuster season, with highly anticipated releases, special midnight screenings and major family films set to hit the big screen in the coming months.
Among the biggest releases this week is The Amazing Digital Circus, a film that has generated enormous excitement among fans worldwide. The movie, produced by Sydney-based animation studio Glitch Productions, has built a massive international following, with more than seven million fans across its online platforms.
Due to overwhelming demand, Limelight Cinemas is hosting a special 1am “No Spoilers” screening, allowing local audiences to watch the film at the same time as viewers in the United States.
Cinema staff say requests for the film flooded their inboxes, making it one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Fans are being encouraged to attend in costume, with exclusive collector tins and merchandise also available.
For fans of comedy and horror, a new instalment of Scary Movie is also heading to cinemas. The latest release pokes fun at modern horror films and psychological thrillers, parodying popular titles while delivering the franchise’s trademark mix of comedy and outrageous humour.
Another major release generating excitement is Masters of the Universe, which brings the iconic He-Man story back to the big screen. The film follows He-Man’s return to Eternia as he battles to reclaim his homeland from the villainous Skeletor. The movie stars Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man and Jared Leto as Skeletor.
Family audiences also have plenty to look forward to, with tickets now on sale for Toy Story 5 and Minions and Monsters. Limelight Cinemas says both films are expected to be major attractions during the upcoming school holiday period, with a range of themed merchandise planned to accompany the releases.
In addition, advance tickets have gone on sale for Disclosure Day, with more major movie announcements expected in the coming weeks as Hollywood’s traditional summer blockbuster season ramps up.
Limelight Cinemas staff say the next few months are shaping up to be one of the busiest periods of the year, with a steady stream of high-profile releases, special events and exclusive merchandise giving moviegoers plenty of reasons to visit their local independent cinema.
Tickets for all upcoming releases are available through Limelight Cinemas.
