Families looking for unique school holiday activities can experience two magical events just a short drive from Ipswich, thanks to local creative events company Triangle House.
Speaking on West Bremer Radio, Caragh Bradbury shared details about Butterfly House at Mount Ommaney Shopping Centre and Quirky Croquet & Bunny Photos at Toowoomba’s Grand Central.
A Close-Up Experience with Butterflies
From April 11 to April 17, visitors to Mount Ommaney Shopping Centre can step into a conservatory filled with hundreds of butterflies. This immersive experience features species from across Queensland, allowing guests to see these delicate creatures up close.
Bradbury, who co-founded Triangle House, revealed that the inspiration for the attraction came from a dream and has since won national awards.
“We work with a local breeder who sources butterflies for us, ensuring we have a beautiful variety,” she said.
Alice in Wonderland-Inspired Fun in Toowoomba
For those heading up the range to Toowoomba, Quirky Croquet & Bunny Photos at Grand Central will offer a whimsical Alice in Wonderland-style croquet game using flamingo mallets.
Running from April 5 to Easter Saturday, families can also snap Easter portraits with real bunnies in a charming themed set.
Bringing the Magic to Ipswich?
While both events are currently hosted outside Ipswich, Bradbury hinted at potential local activations in the future.
“Ipswich locals already travel to see these events, but we’d love to bring them closer,” she said.
For now, residents can make a short trip to Mount Ommaney or Toowoomba to enjoy these unforgettable school holiday experiences.
