Ipswich wellness coach Loz from Lozlife.com is encouraging locals to ditch the myth of motivation and instead focus on building momentum through “micro wins.”

Speaking on The Brekkie Club on West Bremer Radio, Loz explained that waiting to feel motivated before starting something is often what holds people back.

“Motivation is moody — you can’t rely on it,” she said. “What really works is momentum, and that starts with small, unsexy wins done on repeat.”

Loz shared three key tips to help people build lasting progress in their goals.

1. Action beats inspiration.

“Don’t wait for motivation — start with one tiny action before your brain talks you out of it,” she said.
She recommends the “two-minute rule,” encouraging people to commit to a task for just two minutes, like doing squats while waiting for the kettle to boil.

2. Consistency builds confidence.

“Confidence isn’t a feeling, it’s a habit wearing activewear,” she joked.
Each time you follow through on a small task, Loz said, you strengthen your self-trust and train your brain to keep going.

3. Momentum loves company.

“Humans are wired for connection. Surround yourself with people who lift you up — or build your own tribe,” Loz advised.
She reminded listeners that “a rising tide lifts all ships,” meaning positive environments create positive results.

Loz recently launched an online community called The Mojo Dojo, offering courses, masterclasses, and live coaching for busy people seeking progress without burnout.

“You don’t need motivation,” Loz said. “You just need momentum — and a few micro wins to get started.”
