Ipswich Show 2022 is back with a jam-packed program– and the festivities are going to be huge!
This year, the Ipswich Show will celebrate another landmark year in its cultural history with an extensive array of attractions, amusements, and wholesome family entertainment planned for the Show over the three days, 13th, 14th & 15th May 2022.
Ipswich Show Society is proud to deliver a program that truly reflects this region’s colourful characters and the agricultural, pastoral, horticultural and industrial wealth of the district.
Every evening the Main Arena presents a massive entertainment program including nightly firework displays, the turbo fitted thundering Jetcar and the gravity defying FMX Kaos International Freestyle Team.
On Friday evening be riveted by the nonstop thrills and spills of the Ipswich Show Rodeo! Featuring some of the best rodeo riders competing in the toughest bull riding action. Plus be entertained by Mik Oberle who will get your boots moving!
On Friday and Saturday evenings be wowed by the Rooftop Express Wild West Arena Spectacular. The show is a first-class arena spectacular that features world first stunts, true blue Australian comedy, and awe-inspiring horsemanship. Its loveable bush characters and amusing storyline encourages crowd participation and family fun.
Saturday evening it is Demolition Derby time!! There is never a dull moment as you watch skilled drivers ramming old cars into one another with plenty of noisy revving and metal crunching and the winner is the last man standing. Plus, Lawnmower racing and Chainsaw skills exhibition.
Sunday is the day to catch the hilarious ‘Dunny Demolition Derby’ where the last dunny standing will be declared the winner followed by huge-wheeled, high-flying Monster Trucks!
Every day of the show there is so much to see and do. Come and see the cutest animals at the Ipswich Show Animal Nursery!
Kids can play with animals they wouldn’t usually get to see – piglets, ducks, lambs, goats, llamas, and more. Say hello to Farmer Dave, who will be on hand to answer any questions.
Noah’s Farm Thoroughbred Racing Pigs is entertainment at its best. Fun-filled enjoyment for all ages. From the bugle race call, through the obstacles, to the last snout in the finishing trough, crowds will be cheering their preferred pig to the end.
Luke, from Reptile Kingdom loves his job: he wrangles deadly snakes every day and has never been bitten. He is an expert in his field and has a great love and knowledge of animals, which he aims to share with visitors during live interactive shows.
You haven’t experienced the Ipswich Show without a visit to Sideshow Alley!! Thrill seeking rides from your old favourites to the new extreme types, fairy floss, dagwoods, laughing clowns and sideshow games.
See the beauty and spectacle of the Horse Competition in the Main Arena each day of the show. Stunning equines will be judge on conformation, presentation, manners and paces within their field. Riders are assessed on position, presentation and effectiveness of aids.
A visit to the Ipswich Show isn’t complete without taking home a showbag. From a whole bunch of your faves to the most exciting newest showbags, there is a wide range on offer! The only hard part will be choosing which one to buy!
The work of our Ipswich 2022 Competition entrants will be exhibited in the main Events Pavilion including fine art, photography, crafts, homemade cooking, fruit and vegetables, farm produce, flower arrangements, plus poultry and birds. Entries are still open but closing soon.
