From romantic dinners a deux to high tea and beyond, Ipswich is turning up the romance factor to ten this year with a list of seriously swoon-worthy date ideas.

High Tea for Two

Relive the romance of rail and indulge in high tea for two.

Looking to rekindle the flames? For many, train journeys evoke a sense of nostalgia and romance stemming from a bygone era.  This Valentine’s Day, visit The Workshops Rail Museum and book a High Tea for Two.

Be captivated by steam trains, travel back in time on Platform 9 and then sit on the beautiful verandah of the Café where you can savour scones with jam and cream, sandwiches, tea or coffee, iced water and petite sweets.

Costs for high tea are $35 for two plus museum entry.  There are two sittings available on Monday February 14, morning tea from 10am – 11.30am and afternoon tea from 2pm – 3.30pm with only eight tables per sitting!
