A mix of romance, horror and family-friendly animation is set to hit the big screen this week, with Limelight Cinemas unveiling its latest lineup of films and special screenings.

Cinema spokesperson Lex said the romantic comedy Solo Mio will headline the week’s releases, bringing a light-hearted story about heartbreak and self-discovery.

Romantic Comedy Returns to the Big Screen

Solo Mio stars actor Kevin James as a man left at the altar who decides to take his honeymoon trip to Italy alone. The film follows his journey through Rome and Tuscany as he rebuilds his confidence, forms new friendships and potentially finds love again.

“It’s a warm-hearted story about rediscovery, culture and new beginnings,” Lex said, noting that romantic comedies have been relatively rare on cinema screens in recent years.

Horror Fans Prepare for ‘Scream 7’

For horror enthusiasts, the long-running Scream franchise returns with Scream 7, which sees iconic character Sidney Prescott facing a new killer targeting her daughter.

Advance ticket sales indicate strong interest from die-hard fans, with early sessions already filling fast. The film continues the franchise’s legacy of blending suspense and slasher thrills with familiar characters.

Charity Screening and Family Fun with ‘Goat’

Families can also look forward to the animated feature Goat, an underdog sports comedy about a basketball-playing goat trying to make it in the big leagues. The film features a high-profile voice cast including Jennifer Hudson and basketball star Stephen Curry.

A special charity screening will be held this weekend in support of the Sony Foundation, with all proceeds from the event going directly to the charity. Additional advance screenings will follow ahead of the film’s official release.

Final Chance for Discount Kids Films

The cinema is also offering final discounted screenings of recent children’s titles, including Zootopia 2 and SpongeBob SquarePants: Search for SquarePants, with $8 tickets aimed at providing affordable family entertainment.

Moviegoers can view session times and book tickets for all upcoming screenings via the Limelight Cinemas website.
