The Tivoli Arts Awards Festival is back, promising to be an even bigger and better event this year. Held at the Tivoli Drive-In, the festival invites artists from all disciplines to showcase their talents. This year’s theme, “A Moment in Time,” offers a broad and inclusive canvas for creativity.

Glen Smith, welcomed Johnny and Stuart from the Tivoli Drive-In to West Bremer Radio to discuss the upcoming festival. “Last year’s festival, themed around Australiana, was a surprising success. We received more entries and attention than we ever anticipated,” said Stuart. This positive response has encouraged the team to return with enhanced prize money and additional categories.

The Tivoli Arts Awards Festival now features four categories: traditional visual arts, written works, digital arts, and short films. “We’re particularly excited about the writing and photography categories this year,” Johnny noted. “Last year, we didn’t emphasise photography enough, but we know there’s a lot of talent out there, and we want to see it shine.”

Tivoli Art Awards are back in 2024

The festival is free to enter, with artists allowed to submit up to three pieces without any charge. Additional entries are welcome at a nominal fee of $15 each. The top prize in each category is $500, a substantial reward for participating artists. “This prize money is a great incentive, especially with free entry,” Smith emphasised.

Participants can find all necessary information and entry forms on the Tivoli Drive-In website. The festival also encourages community engagement, highlighting the venue’s broader mission of community support. The Tivoli Drive-In is more than just a movie venue; it’s a hub for wellness and charitable activities, offering food, counseling, and traineeships to those in need.

“We are thrilled to host this event again and look forward to seeing the incredible talent that Ipswich has to offer,” said Stuart. The Tivoli Arts Awards Festival is not just a competition but a celebration of creativity and community spirit.

For those interested in participating, visit the Tivoli Drive-In website or their social media pages for more details. The festival runs from Wednesday 9th – Friday 11th of October, between 6pm to 9pm. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to showcase your art and contribute to the vibrant cultural tapestry of Ipswich.
