The All Ability Hour on West Bremer Radio continues to showcase incredible stories from Ipswich’s disability community, with last Saturday’s episode featuring Drew, a long-time client of Focal Community Services, and representatives from CaRelief, a local disability support provider.

Drew’s Story: A Life of Independence and Passion

Drew, who has been with Focal for 15 years, shared insights into his life in supported independent living, his love for fishing, and his unwavering support for the Brisbane Broncos. Known for his big personality, Drew also revealed his passion for Bon Jovi and his talent for singing. Focal is currently looking for a housemate for Drew, inviting potential tenants to reach out for more details.

CaRelief’s Expanding Services

The show also welcomed Kelly and Shannon from CaRelief, a disability support organisation offering a wide range of services including support coordination, community access, respite care, and supported independent living (SIL).

Kelly, who recently joined CaRelief, highlighted the company’s person-centered approach, ensuring every client receives tailored support. Shannon, a specialist support coordinator with a background in nursing, explained how their team works closely with clients to navigate the NDIS and access essential services.

CaRelief currently has SIL vacancies in Flinders View, Ripley, and Gatton, as well as a tranquil respite house in Carole Park. They encourage anyone interested to reach out via 07 3180 8805 or email help@carelief.com.au.
