The Ipswich Orpheus Chorale is bringing a heartwarming celebration of love and music to the stage this weekend with their latest concert, Loves of Our Lives. The production will explore all facets of love, from the romantic to the familial, with a mix of solos, choir performances, and even some festive cheer.
Directed by longtime Chorale member Sally, who has been with the group for over two decades, the concert is a personal project for her. “This is my little baby,” she said. The show features a wide array of songs, including Anthem from Chess and Michael Jackson’s We Are the World, performed by local talents.
One of the highlights will be a solo by Sally’s son, Caden, who is also part of the choir. Having grown up surrounded by music, Caden brings his own energy to the stage. “It’s really special for me to share this experience with him,” Sally said.
The Orpheus Chorale, founded in 1969 by George Hogg, remains a cornerstone of Ipswich’s arts community. With 25 local performers, this production continues the Chorale’s legacy of excellence.
The concert runs at the George Hogg Auditorium on Saturday, December 7, with performances at 2 PM and 7 PM, and Sunday, December 8, at 2 PM. Tickets are $35 for adults, $30 for concessions, and $15 for children. Audience members can also enjoy themed cocktails to complement the evening’s atmosphere.
Tickets are available via the Chorale’s website at ipswichorpheuschorale.org.au or through TryBooking by searching Loves of Our Lives.
Don’t miss this showcase of local talent and timeless music—a perfect way to celebrate the season.
