The Philippines and Australia Multicultural Association (PAMA) is set to host the third annual PAMA Springfest 2024 at the Robelle Domain in Springfield this Saturday. The event, a vibrant celebration of cultural diversity, promises a day filled with music, dance, food, and community.

Jamar from PAMA explained the essence of Springfest during a recent interview on West Bremer Radio. “Springfest is our annual celebration of our foundation credo: unity and strength in diversity,” he said. “We use this event to showcase a wide range of cultures, not just from the Philippines but from various backgrounds, reflecting the diverse makeup of our community.”

This year’s Springfest is themed around rock and roll, highlighting the cultural influences of American music in the Philippines due to historical ties. “Philippines was under American influence for nearly half a century, and that impact is still evident in our music and arts today,” Jamar noted. Attendees can expect a lively day with a dance floor set up in the middle of the venue, encouraging everyone to dance from start to finish.

The festival, running from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., will feature over 50 stalls, including food and drink vendors, market stalls, and information booths. “There will be something for everyone, from retro cars and poodle skirts to a variety of performances catering to all ages and musical tastes,” Jamar added.

To cap off the day, PAMA Springfest 2024 will feature an exciting laser finale, a spectacular display set to leave a lasting impression on all attendees. “We want this event to be a celebration of inclusivity, a chance for people to connect with different cultures, enjoy delicious food, and dance the day away,” Jamar said.

The event is free and open to the public. So, mark your calendars for a day of cultural celebration, music, dance, and fun at PAMA Springfest 2024 this Saturday.
