The Workshops Rail Museum is sharing stories of those who got hitched in the ‘Swich.
Fall in love all over again as they invite you to walk down the aisle of some of Ipswich’s most beautiful moments and relish the words “I Do” one more time.
I Do in Ipswich is a pop-up photographic exhibition that shares a selection of wedding photographs from couples throughout the ages from 1890s until the 1950s.
As part of the exhibition, curators are also calling on couples to submit their love story as part of the Ipswich Wedding Wall – an ever-changing aspect of the pop-up exhibition which will feature local stories of those who got hitched in the ‘Swich.
Enter the space through a wedding arbour, be captivated by the large vintage photographs hanging on the walls, watch the slide show, read local wedding stories and take a seat at a reception table.
If you want to share your Ipswich love story and see it feature on the Ipswich Wedding Wall, email your wedding story or that of a loved one – around 250 words – along with a high-resolution image to weddings@theworkshops.qm.qld.gov.au
I Do in Ipswich starts Saturday 26 February and runs until Sunday 22 May.
