About the Show
While being a relatively new member of the West Bremer Radio family, Zak’s also relatively new to Ipswich. Having moved here just two years ago.
Originally from Cessnock, Zak moved to Bathurst in 2009
In his time with 2MCE, Zak covered TEN Bathurst 1000 events, as well as NINE Bathurst 12 Hour meetings, and FOUR Bathurst 6 Hour races, while also presenting other sports and motorsport programming, as well as drive-time and music shows.
While based in Bathurst, Zak’s love of all things sport, and particularly motorsport, saw him was constantly travelling to Goulburn or Sydney, and even to Victoria’s Winton Motor Raceway, to provide trackside commentary for various grassroots motorsport events, and he travelled even further afield, to commentate club and state karting events as well.
In 2017, Zak joined the Queensland Raceways commentary team, which paved the way for a move to the Sunshine State in 2018.
Caban, the loud mouth from the south, remains in the Queensland Raceways commentary booth in 2020, and you can hear Zak’s ‘Darrell Eastlake style’ commentary, when we bring you Saturday Arvo Motorsport, on West Bremer Radio right throughout the racing season.
