Limelight Cinemas is kicking off a packed week of film releases, including thrilling new titles and exciting school holiday events. In a chat with Lex from Limelight Cinemas, the focus was on the return of Halle Berry to the big screen in the upcoming release, “Never Let Go,” produced by the creators of Stranger Things. This dark, suspenseful film follows Berry and her twin sons as they struggle to survive in a world overtaken by an unspeakable evil. “The premise is eerie and gripping, perfect for those who enjoy thrillers,” Lex said.
For a more refined experience, the critically acclaimed “The Critic” is set to hit cinemas with advanced screenings this weekend. Starring Ian McKellen and Lesley Manville, the film promises an engaging story of deceit, manipulation, and murder, set against the backdrop of the London theatre scene.
The highly anticipated musical “Joker: Folie À Deux” starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga will also be coming soon. The film, which made its debut at the Toronto Film Festival, features Phoenix reprising his iconic role as Arthur Fleck, with Gaga taking on the role of Harley Quinn. “The pairing of Phoenix and Gaga is an absolute powerhouse duo,” Lex commented, excited for the film’s release.
Limelight Cinemas is also bringing back the Harry Potter magic, screening all the films in the series starting from October 3rd. Over seven weeks, fans can experience the wizarding world once again, culminating in a double-feature screening of Deathly Hallows Part 1 & 2.
Finally, as the school holidays come to an end, families can still catch some great films like “Harold and the Purple Crayon”, “The Wild Robot”, and “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”. For tickets and session times, visit Limelight’s website.
