Bundamba MP Lance McCallum has slammed Queensland Premier David Crisafulli over the use of taxpayer-funded private jets, calling for transparency ahead of next week’s state budget estimates hearings.
Speaking with West Bremer Radio, McCallum said, “The Premier has racked up more than double the use of private jets in half the time of his predecessors — and he’s refusing to answer basic questions about cost or purpose.”
One recent flight to Rockhampton, reportedly taken so the Premier could participate in Olympic rowing bid promotions, has particularly raised eyebrows, with commercial flights available at the time.
“If he’s using public money, the public deserves to know what it’s costing and where he’s going,” McCallum said.

More than 2,000 construction jobs were created during its development, and the factory now supports 160 ongoing advanced manufacturing roles.
“These are the high-skilled, well-paid local jobs our region needs,” McCallum said.
$130K Raised to Repair Historic Ipswich Trades Hall
Meanwhile, the Ipswich Trades Hall fundraiser held over the weekend has been hailed a huge success, raising over $130,000 toward urgent roof repairs. The event drew 250 attendees including former Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, local MPs, Mayor Teresa Harding, and a special performance by acclaimed musician Thelma Plum.
The historic building, governed by its own Act of Parliament since 1984, has suffered weather damage including from Cyclone Alfred and recent rains.
“It was a wonderful night that showed the spirit of our community,” McCallum said.
And a Final Word on Footy…
