The Ipswich Musical Theatre is gearing up to present a spectacular rendition of the classic musical Guys and Dolls this September. Featuring a talented cast and a highly skilled creative team, the production promises to be a highlight in the region’s arts calendar.

Samantha Sherrin, one of the stars of the show, is set to play Sergeant Sarah Brown. A seasoned performer with over a decade of experience, Samantha is thrilled to bring this beloved character to life. “I’m very excited,” she shared. “The process has been so much fun, and the team is incredibly talented and supportive.”

Guys and Dolls is based on short stories by Damon Runyon, and the musical, originally produced in the 1950s, has since become a beloved classic. The Ipswich production is directed by Robbie Parkin, known for his work on Wicked and Mamma Mia. The musical direction is handled by Peter Lawton, with choreography by Simon, who has worked on Australia’s Got Talent and X Factor.

Samantha, who previously wowed audiences in Xanadu at the Gold Coast’s Spotlight Theatre, is looking forward to this new challenge. “The rehearsals have been a wonderful experience,” she said. “We’ve created a real family atmosphere, and I think that will come across in our performances.”

The show opens on September 7th at Ipswich Civic Centre. Tickets are available online and by phone. Samantha encourages everyone to come and enjoy the show, promising an evening of memorable music and lively performances.

With its stellar cast and dedicated production team, Guys and Dolls is set to be a must-see event for local theatre enthusiasts and anyone looking for a night of entertainment in Ipswich.
