Ipswich is in for a musical treat as world-class performer Peter Byrne, backed by the Queensland Pops Orchestra, brings Neil Diamond’s legendary hits to life at the Ipswich Civic Centre on Friday, 11th October. Fans can expect an unforgettable night as Byrne performs iconic tracks from Diamond’s timeless albums: Hot August Night, The Jazz Singer, and Jonathan Livingston Seagull.

Peter Byrne, a renowned international artist, will take audiences on a journey through Diamond’s 60-year career. His tribute to the musical icon is widely acclaimed, with one reviewer from The Mercury stating, “The day I see a better diamond will be the day the man himself appears on stage.”

Celebrating three of Diamond’s greatest albums, Byrne will be accompanied by a 30-piece symphony orchestra. Byrne shared his excitement, explaining how these albums, all featuring orchestral arrangements, are best heard live with such an ensemble.

Hot August Night is one of the most iconic live albums ever recorded,” Byrne said. “The songs are catchy, the lyrics are unforgettable, and with a full orchestra, it will be a sound that lifts the roof off any venue.”

Fans can expect to hear classics like “Sweet Caroline,” “Love on the Rocks,” “I Am…I Said,” and “Coming to America” in an evening that promises nostalgia, passion, and unforgettable melodies.

Byrne’s deep connection to Diamond’s music, inspired by his father, adds a personal touch to the performance. “I Am…I Said has been my favorite for over 40 years. Performing it with a symphony orchestra is unbeatable.”

Tickets are on sale now through the Ipswich Civic Centre website. Don’t miss your chance to experience Neil Diamond’s music like never before!
