Susan Dunne has announced her intention to nominate as a candidate in the upcoming Division 4 by-election, bringing a strong focus on community representation, unity, and integrity. A true local, Dunne is passionate about advocating for the residents of Division 4 and Ipswich, ensuring that their voices are heard at council level.

“I’m not running to oppose for the sake of opposition,” Dunne stated. “My goal is simple: to represent our community with integrity, putting residents above all else. I want to make sure that the council is truly working for the people, not caught up in internal power struggles.”

Dunne has been actively involved in the community, continuing her work with local groups such as the Karalee Community Association, Brighter Brassall, the Marburg and District Residents Association, and several environmental groups. Her ongoing engagement with these organizations reflects her commitment to staying connected with the issues that matter most to residents.

With a focus on unity and action, Dunne believes that she can bring a fresh, positive energy to the Ipswich City Council, collaborating effectively with current Division 4 Councillor Russell Madden. “I’m here to listen, advocate, and work tirelessly for the people who live here,” she said.

Dunne emphasized her commitment to delivering results and ensuring that Division 4 is well-represented. “At the end of the day, it’s about getting the best outcomes for our community,” she concluded.
