Interview Requested – Declined the request

Ipswich small business owner Damien Culpeper has been selected as the Liberal National Party (LNP) candidate for the seat of Ipswich in the upcoming Queensland state election. Culpeper, a local business owner, is focused on addressing the financial and economic pressures affecting Ipswich residents and businesses.

LNP Leader David Crisafulli emphasized the need for change in Queensland, citing ongoing crises under the current Labor government. “Queensland needs a fresh start and the LNP has the Right Plan for our future,” Crisafulli said. “After a decade of Labor, Queensland has a youth crime crisis, a health crisis, a housing crisis, and a cost-of-living crisis. Queenslanders are demanding change, and the LNP stands ready to deliver.”

Crisafulli expressed confidence in Culpeper, noting his background as a small business owner who understands the economic challenges facing Ipswich families. “As someone who worked hard to buy his first business, Damien understands how Labor’s failures are costing Queensland families and small businesses. Responsible economic management drives down cost pressures,” Crisafulli added.

Culpeper himself highlighted the neglect Ipswich has experienced under years of Labor governance, vowing to bring financial discipline to the region. “Ipswich has been neglected for years under Labor, and the list of challenges facing our city due to a lack of investment is just getting worse,” Culpeper said.

He added that the rising costs under Labor are due to mismanagement and wasteful spending. “Cost pressures are biting because this Labor Government has overseen cost blowouts and waste. Only the LNP will bring back respect for the value of Queenslanders’ money and stop the expensive failures forcing up costs for Ipswich families and small businesses.”

Culpeper’s campaign will focus on responsible economic management, reducing cost pressures, and securing investment for Ipswich to address long-standing issues in the community.
