Wake Up With Dr Dan

Respected broadcaster Danny Hoyland joins the team! For 11 years Danny was a familiar voice on Ipswich Radio, and after a brief break in transmission he is back, and he couldn’t be happier.

Danny’s passion and enthusiasm is infectious and he has built a loyal local following over the Ipswich airwaves. Hoyland says “Wake up with Dr Dan”, on Saturdays from 6am to 8am, is radio the way it should be – fun. It’s just me being myself,” he adds. Being online and through the smartphone app means it doesn’t matter where you are, you can listen in loud and crystal clear on digital.

It is a lifestyle programme with a difference, lots of good music, and quirky interviews that you probably wouldn’t hear on mainstream radio. I can finally tell the stories and interview the local legends like I have always wanted to. It’s like a chat between two mates, laid back, nothing political, no crudeness, nothing controversial, hopefully different to any other radio programme.
